How can physiotherapy help you?

  • Is pain, weakness or a lack of confidence having an impact on your life?
  • Does pain stop you from wanting to take part in the activities that you love to do?
  • Do you avoid social situations because you worry that pain might hold you back and affect other peoples enjoyment?
  • Have you tried resting but feel there is more you could be doing but are terrified of making things worse?

Physiotherapy isn’t just about having a massage and doing a few gentle exercises to help reduce your pain.

Whilst the above can help to reduce your pain and make you more comfortable, there is a lot more that physiotherapy has to offer…

  • Identify how your symptoms are specifically affecting certain aspects of your life.
  • Address any fears you might have about what effect your symptoms will have on your future.
  • Give you the confidence to move again.
  • Prepare you both physically and mentally to return to your desired activities.
  • Demonstrate just how robust and resilient your body can be.

About me

My name is Chris Tiley, I am a physiotherapist with over 10 years experience.

I have worked in various settings including:

  • Hospitals (both in the UK and Canada)
  • Rehabilitation units
  • Sports teams (including British Parasnowsport and Reading FC Academy)
  • Private clinics.

Chris Tiley Physiotherapist Headshot

Within these roles, but especially within British ParaSnowsport I’ve used my experience to treat injuries as they happen. But more importantly, I have routinely incorporated strength programs with the aim of reducing the risk of further injuries. I’ve also become confident in adapting these programs around various disabilities and injuries.

I’m passionate about introducing strength training to those who never thought that they would be able to do it.

I love seeing the results that they achieve, seeing their confidence grow and seeing how much it brings back to their everyday lives.
